Quick Tips:
1) Start computer in safe mode. This is done by booting the computer and as it starts up consistently hit the F8 Key
2) If you are unable to get the malware to start (some programs will seek out and prevent malware programs from working) then go to a totally separate computer, use a thumb drive, download the malware programs onto the thumb drive.
You might even go a step further and rename the malware programs to something totally different. Why?
Once I had to remove a really nasty virus that even when I tried using the software from the thumb drive it still "detected" it was malware software and when I went and renamed then kitty cat names, it let the software run.
3) You may want to consider using a malware program that runs in the background that is a script stopper, meaning if you accidentally click a link that is infected the script will ask you if you want to run the program. If you don't recognize it, Run, Run Run as fast as you can and close out the page.
4)If you take your mouse and hover the pointer over the link, in the lower left hand corner or right hand depending on the OS and it will actually display the actual link. Again if you don't recognize it, Delete the email immediately.
5) If you think malware or a virus is installing onto your computer. Shut down your machine asap to prevent the entire program from attaching your computer. Even a hard stop if you have to get it to stop downloading.
